Craig Hospital's mission is to promote optimal health and quality of life for people affected by spinal cord injury and tramatic brain injury. The Craig Hospital Paralympic Sport Club program introduces a wide variety of sports and recreation to our inpatients, outpatients and community members in conjunction with other Paralympic Sport Clubs in the state of Colorado. We also play a supportive role in wheelchair sports tournaments and clinics in the Denver area.

The Craig Hospital Paralympic Sports Program is a US Paralympic Sports Club.  

U.S. Paralympics is partnering with community organizations from across the country to create a network of Paralympic Sport Clubs.

Paralympic Sport Clubs are community-based programs developed to involve youth and adults with physical and visual disabilities in sports and physical activity, regardless of skill level.  All programs and activities will be based in the community and are run by the local organization.

With 21 million physically disabled Americans, including thousands of military personnel who've sustained serious injuries while on active duty, this is an important community need.

U.S. Paralympics is committed to working with community organizations across the United States to create 250 Paralympic Sport Clubs by 2012.
